COSM 2020 & COVID-19 Update – 3.16.2020

Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) global pandemic and its growing impact, the Combined Spring Otolaryngology Spring Meetings (COSM) and participating 2020 Societies have made the difficult but important decision to cancel COSM 2020, April 22-26, 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia.

COSM and the COSM Secretaries Liasion Committee extends our sympathies and messages of support to all of those who have been affected by the outbreak. We made this difficult decision with concern for your safety and the safety of your patients. Each of you are leaders at your home institutions, and your presence there may be more important now than ever.

Preparing for the conference involves the time, talent and ideas of a great many of our Societies’ program committee members and volunteers, speakers, presenters and exhibitors. We’re incredibly grateful for this and deeply disappointed not to be able to hold the meeting as planned.

While it won’t be possible to offer livestream COSM programming, stay tuned for upcoming information about alternate opportunities to earn CME, especially as it relates to COSM’s online, virtual posters.

Are you refunding my registration fee?

Yes. We will automatically refund your registration. We are currently working through this process and appreciate your patience during this time.  We anticipate you will see a full refund on your credit card within 30 days.  If you paid by means other than credit card, we will reach out to you. You will receive a cancellation confirmation once your record has been cancelled. If you have any questions, please contact cosmsupport@facs.org.

What about additional Exhibitor registrations?

Yes, additional exhibitor registrations will be refunded.  Refunds will be issued automatically within 45 days.

How can I cancel my hotel room reservation?

All COSM Hotels (Hilton, Aloft, and Sheraton) will automatically cancel all reservations currently in the COSM Room Block. An email confirmation verifying cancellation will be emailed to you no later than March 19, 2020. 

Are you refunding flight or other travel costs?

No. We will not refund individual travel costs. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps. Many airlines are either waiving cancellation fees or considering the action that precipitated your cancellation. Please contact your airline to see if your ticket qualifies. We apologize for any inconvenience and challenges this may cause you.
